Sheffield's Seeking Competitors For 11th Annual Chili Cook-Off

Gift cards will be offered to the top three contestants.

CHICAGO — If you think you make a mean bowl of chili, you'll have a chance to put your recipe to the test in Sheffield's 11th Annual Chili Cook-off in the Lake View neighborhood. Competition entry is free for contestants, and three local restaurateurs have been invited to judge which bowls will win prizes. There will also be a 'fan favorite' category.

The event will be held on Sunday, Feb. 10. All competing pots of chili will need to be presented before 2 p.m., organizers said. Chili tasting will begin at 3 p.m.

Competitor spots are limited, Sheffield's said. All contestants are required to email events@sheffieldschicago.com as soon as possible and register their pot in advance.

Chili must be brought to Sheffield's warmed and ready to judge in its own crock pot, the restaurant said. Fixings are allowed but contestants must bring their own.

Admission for Sheffield's cook-off guests is $20 and includes two drink tickets, chili tasting and a chance to vote for the fan favorite.
