Slice Of Cheesie's Opens In Lake View
The new pizzeria has opened its doors in the former Blackwood BBQ spot.
CHICAGO, IL — A new late-night pizza parlor held its grand opening Friday at noon in Lake View. Slice of Cheesie's opened next door to Cheesie's Pub & Grub — the neighborhood's popular grilled cheese restaurant — and a passageway connects the two spots. The new pizzeria at 958-964 W. Belmont Avenue offers guests free arcade games.
The Slice of Cheesie's menu includes at least nine signature pizzas, such as the Balboa (Philly steak, sauteed onions/mushrooms with chipotle cream cheese sauce), Caprese (cheese blend with fresh basil, tomatoes, pepper served on pesto cream cheese sauce), and some creative options like mac-and-cheese pizza and the Frenchie with steak-cut fries, bacon, chives and sour cream. You can also opt to build your own pizza with a wide selection of toppings.
The menu also includes a variety of appetizers, such as fried ravioli, mozzarella sticks, fried artichoke hearts, cheese fries, wings and garlic knots.

The new pizza spot is open Sunday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Friday/Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 a.m.
