Sports Clips Eyes Storefront by New City Target
The men's haircut specialist is opening a new storefront on Ashland Avenue, across the street from the proposed City Target in Lake View.
Barber shop Sports Clips is opening a second location in Lake View, with this location being across the street from the upcoming City Target at Belmont, Ashland and Lincoln avenues.
The new studio will open at 3235 N. Ashland Ave., Chicago business permits show. There are also large “Coming Soon” signs in the corner storefront’s windows.
There are two Sports Clips already on the North Side. The Wrigleyville location sits at 3452 N. Clark St., while the DePaul campus Sports Clips is located at 1223 W. Fullerton Ave.

Sport Clips Haircuts is headquartered in Georgetown, Texas and was established in 1993 by founder and CEO Gordon Logan. The sports-themed haircutting franchise, which specializes in haircuts for men and boys, is ranked by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the top 20 “Fastest-Growing Franchises,” and in the top 10 percent of the “Franchise 500.”
