Stabbing on North Halsted Early Tuesday

CHICAGO, IL — A 21-year-old man was beaten and stabbed in the 2800 block of North Halsted Street in Lake View shortly after midnight Tuesday, according to Chicago Police. He was stabbed in the chest after another man pulled him out of a car in what police describe as a robbery.

Two men in a car pulled alongside a car in which the victim and a 37-year-old man were sitting and accosted them. One of the men had a gun. A gold chain was taken from the victim, police said. The victim suffered chest wounds and was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
