CHICAGO — Nothing Without a Company is launching its biennial gala, Wonder Ball, June 1 on Chicago's North Side. Attendees are invited to dress up like their inner superhero — "whatever that looks like," organizers said. The event will be held at Chicago Theatre Works, 1113 W. Belmont Ave.

The gala will run from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., with a VIP hour from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. and general admission from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.

The gala's VIP hour will feature special guest and honoree, Lanialoha Lee from Pacific Soundz & Aloha Center Chicago, along with a drag show by ENIGMA. General admission will feature DJ Birds & B-sides, a best dressed contest, massage therapists, a raffle and silent auction items. Founding member Laura “Baller” Mahler will be coming back into town for the festivities and will have a dance off with the fabulous Darling Shear.
