Taco Bell Opens New Restaurant Near Wrigley Field
The new Taco Bell took over the former Muscle Maker Grill spot on Belmont Avenue. But will it be as loved as the old one?

CHICAGO — While the beloved Taco Bell across from Wrigley Field is set to be demolished and replaced with a condo development, another Taco Bell has sprung up and opened its doors at 920 W. Belmont Avenue. Opened by Yum! Brands, the new Taco Bell sits a few blocks away from the old iconic one.
For more than two decades, taco lovers from across Chicagoland have flocked to the Taco Bell at 1111 W. Addison St. for cheap chalupas and good times. The spot is scheduled to be demolished Nov. 1, and will be replaced with a three-story retail building. The new space will include a gym and a climbing wall on the top two floors.
Last year, fans of the Taco Bell rallied to save the spot when they found out it was going to shut its doors. "Save Taco Bell" T-shirts were even designed to protest the closure.
