Tower Crane Removal to Cause Traffic Delays This Weekend
Halsted Flats is fully constructed, meaning the massive crane used to reach the fifteenth floor is rolling out.

Calling all drivers: Steer clear of North Halsted near Grace Street this weekend as crews work to remove a massive tower crane, blocking parts traffic.
Ald. James Cappleman (46th) announced the removal at 3740 N. Halsted St. on Saturday and Sunday between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. The crane was used to construct the new 15-story Halsted Flats development in Boystown.
According to permits, the two-day operation will partially block Halsted Street. The Chicago Department of Transportation recommends commuters use North Broadway Street to avoid the decreased flow in traffic.
