User Warns of Lake View Mail Thief on Reddit

A Lake View resident posted a photo on Reddit yesterday of a suspected thief taking a package from the user's East Lake View apartment building. 

"Just a warning to those of you living in the Northside, Lakeview area," user newswhore802 wrote. "Yesterday afternoon, [the suspected thief] broke into my building around 4 p.m. and grabbed a number of packages from the on top [sic.] of the mailboxes, including mine that had some very valuable stuff. He got lucky with my package, so if you're expecting packages, make sure that you have to sign for it."

The user said that their stolen package was worth $500 and contained an Xbox 360 Elit with a 120gb hard drive, a wireless adapter, Halo 4 and two controllers.

The Reddit user also commented on the post that police told them the suspect has hit three buildings in the area within the last few weeks. 

"According to the police I spoke to, he has hit 3 or more buildings within the last few weeks," newswhore802 wrote. "He got away with over $500 of stuff, which sucks, but also the fact that he took something that was meant as a very significant gift. So I want him caught."

The user included photos taken from the apartment building's security camera, and asks anyone with any information on the suspect to contact police.
