Woman Found Dead In Car Had 'Injury To Her Neck': Police

CHICAGO — A 41-year-old woman was found dead in the front seat of her car on Tuesday evening, according to police. Officials said in a statement the woman appeared to have "some injury to her neck area."

Area Three detectives are investigating the death, which occurred at around 4:30 p.m. on the 3030 block of North Clifton Avenue in the Lake View neighborhood. Officers discovered the body in a legally parked 2008 gold Cadillac sedan.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives are treating the incident as a death investigation as of Tuesday night. The Cook County Coroner's Office has not released the woman's name yet.
