Wow! House: Rosie O'Donnell's Former Lake View Home Back On Market For $3.195M

CHICAGO, IL — The Lake View neighborhood home Rosie O'Donnell briefly owned around five years ago is back on the market, and the price is nearly $1 million more than the entertainer sold it for in 2012. The residence at 1517 W. Grace St. in Chicago's Southport Corridor was put up for sale Friday, April 14, and it's listed for $3.195 million.

O'Donnell bought the five-bedroom house in September 2011 when she moved to Chicago to launch her talk show, "The Rosie Show," from Oprah Winfrey's old studio. She paid $2.25 million for it, even though the property was valued at $2.5 million and had only been listed for two months, according to a Chicago magazine article during that time.

But that great feeling of catching a deal on a house was short-lived, much like "The Rosie Show." When O'Donnell's show was canceled after six months, she sold it for a little more than $2.1 million in April 2012, Crain's Chicago Business reported at the time.
