Wrigley Field Theft: 2 Charged with Attempting to Steal Ivy
The men squeezed through a barred window and walked across the field Sunday morning in an attempt to snag some historic ivy.

Two 25-year-old Pennsylvania men are facing misdemeanor charges for allegedly breaking into Wrigley Field with plans to steal some of the ballpark’s historic ivy, The Huffington Post reports.
Kevin Burge and Steven Gudknecht were charged with criminal trespassing when they squeezed through a barred window around 3:45 a.m. Sunday, police told the Chicago Sun-Times. Security guards caught the two walking through the stadium on a surveillance camera.
Police added one of the men was 6 feet tall and 170 pounds, while the second man was 6-feet-3 and 180 pounds, the Sun-Times reports.
Nothing was damaged or stolen, but Cubs spokesperson Julian Green says this isn’t the first time someone’s tried to snag some of the outfield’s ivy.
