According to police, the car was unlocked during the recent burglary.

LAKE ZURICH, IL — The Lake Zurich Police Department said a woman reported Friday, Dec. 27 that someone got inside her unlocked car parked in the 1000 block of Old McHenry Road, and stole property, according to the Chicago Tribune. Police said the estimated value of items stolen is $1,000, according to the news report.
