Business Expo and Community Showcase This Saturday at Falcon Park

This event is free & open to the public; 55 vendors will be showcasing, along with entertainment, raffles and more!

Area residents are invited to attend the 4th annual Business Expo & Community Showcase, sponsored by the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce. This event is free and open to the public, and will take place Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Falcon Park Recreation Center, 2195 N. Hicks Road in Palatine.

A ceremony honoring veterans will be led by the Palatine American Legion Post 690 Color Guard at 10:30 a.m. All veterans are invited to attend and be recognized for their service to our country.

“This event has activities and attractions for the entire family, and is meant to cast a spotlight on the businesses and organizations that make the Palatine area a great place to live, work and shop,” said PACC Executive Director Steven Gaus. “We invite everyone to come out to Falcon Park and take advantage of all this event has to offer.”

In addition to more than 50 vendors who will showcase and offer specials and giveaways, entertainment will be provided throughout the event. It will include an interactive light saber activity and demonstration by JP Wood Martial Arts, performances by the Palatine Park District Dance Company and the Allegro Community Chorus, and a Palatine Police K9 demonstration, among others.

Activities for the little ones will include balloons by the Great Sobotka, face painting by Kayli Roe, a Top Golf putting activity, arts and crafts with Ecole 360 Child Development Center, and a chocolate craft provided by Morkes Chocolates.

Additional attractions will include a scavenger hunt, raffle baskets, and a 50/50 cash raffle, and food will also be available for purchase. There will also be roaming characters such as Palatine Historical Society’s Clayson the family dog, Sammy and Gobbles from the Palatine Park District, and Jo Jo from Jewel/Osco.

The presenting sponsor is the Palatine Park District, the Platinum Sponsor is Palatine Bank & Trust, Gold Sponsors are Pete & Mac’s Pet Resort and JP Wood Martial Arts, the Silver Sponsor is Pan American Bank & Trust, and the Supporting Sponsors are Moats Office Properties and Wipfli LLP.
