Two police squad cars were taking up the right lane while making a traffic stop when Marin's car crashed into the rear of the back-up officer's car, police said. The back-up officer's car was forced into the back of the primary officer's car as a result of the crash.
The back-up officer, who was in the driver's seat of his car, was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries and released later on Sunday. The primary officer was not injured.
