D95 Accepting Applications for Preschool Program

Lake Zurich Community Unit School District 95 is accepting applications for its new tuition-based preschool, Little Leaders, through May 1, 2013. Parents of children who are between three and five years of age as of Sept. 1, 2013 may download application materials from the District 95 website or pick them up at the 400 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich. Children must be potty trained.

Enrollment in the tuition-based program is open to families who reside within the District 95 boundaries. By May 1, 2013 a non-refundable application fee of $50 will be required with the Registration Form and Parent Consent Form to secure a placement in the program. If the number of applications should exceed the number of vacancies within the program, a lottery will be held.

The Little Leaders Preschool is a 5-day per week program with a tuition rate of $260 per month. The first month’s payment will be due by June 30, 2013. Parents of the tuition- based program will be expected to provide their own transportation.

The maximum enrollment in each classroom will be 15 children, with one teacher and two paraprofessionals. Each teacher is dually certified in both Early Childhood Education and Special Education. The preschool curriculum is aligned with the Illinois Early Learning Standards as well as District 95’s K-12 curriculum.

Families will be notified in writing no later than June 15th of their child’s placement within the program. At that time, a registration packet will be provided.
