Fiery DUI-Related Crash Caught On Lake Zurich Police Dashcam
The Lake Zurich Police Department shared video of fiery crash, warning about the dangers of drinking and driving.
LAKE ZURICH, IL — The Lake Zurich Police Department recently shared a video of a fiery rollover crash captured on dashcam to social media, in hopes it will show and warn people that drinking and driving don't mix. According to the department, an officer was driving on Route 12 when he saw a car in front of him catch fire after hitting an embankment and roll over to the side of the road. However, the driver was the only person inside the car, and somehow managed to make it out of the crash without serious injuries, police said.
The driver was accused of drunk driving, was arrested and has since been charged with driving under the influence.
