A Golden Night for Frassati Catholic Academy at McDonald’s

Frassati Catholic Academy students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support the school during Catholic School Week.

Wauconda|Frassati Catholic Academy students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support the school and enjoy Catholic School Week.

Teachers and support staff from Frassati volunteered behind the counter and at the Drive-Thru on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at the Wauconda McDonald's located on Liberty St., where they served students and their families in a fundraiser.

Teachers worked hard selling cookies. Many Frassati teachers worked behind the counter while Jennifer Jones and Elizabeth Piper worked hard at the drive-thru. Janel Kovarik with the Frassati Family Association was at the event the entire night talking with families and taking lots of pictures with the kids.

The proceeds from the cookies sold went directly to benefit the Frassati children. A percentage of the proceeds from the McTeacher's Night sales were also donated directly to Frassati. The school plans to use the money raised to support the teachers for items needed for the classroom and also for technology and scholarships.

Nondas Plesiotis, Owner/ Operator of the Wauconda McDonald's is delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.
