Isaac Fox Joins in International Walk to School Day

Isaac Fox Elementary School will be participating in the International Walk and Bike to School Day on Wednesday, October 9.

Lake Zurich Chief of Police Patrick Finlon, Village of Lake Zurich Mayor Tom Poynton, Village Trustee Jim Beaudoin and District 95 Superintendent of Schools Mike Egan will join Isaac Fox students, parents and faculty.

For those students who live too far to walk, LA Fitness has permitted use of their parking lot closest to Deerpath Road. Upon arriving at school, the district’s food service provider, Sodexo, will be providing a healthy snack for each student.

The walk is designed to promote healthier lifestyle habits, a cleaner environment, and to boost a sense of community. It also brings awareness to safety issues such as lack of sidewalks and speeding vehicles.

Children across the world will be participating by walking to school.
