Lake Zurich Cop Injured During Traffic Stop
A car crashed into a squad car while a Lake Zurich police officer was making a stop early Sunday morning.
LAKE ZURICH, IL - A Lake Zurich police officer was injured early Sunday morning while making a traffic stop. A civilian vehicle crashed into an assisting officer's vehicle that was pushed into the officer's vehicle near Wooded Ridge Drive and Route 12 at 12:30 a.m., according to a report from the Lake County News-Sun.
The injured officer was sitting in the driver's seat of the squad car. The assisting officer was not injured. The injured officer was released from an area hospital later in the day after suffering non-life threatening injuries.
