Lake Zurich Police: Criminal Damage, Retail Theft, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, DUIs

Criminal damage

Someone damaged a rental vehicle while it was parked at 755 South Rand Road, police said. 

Retail theft

Cassandra B. Taylor, 34, 4101 Beech Street #3, Island Lake, was arrested for retail theft at 675 North Rand Road on September 18, police said. 

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Ryan M. Mallow, 27, 831 Game Trail, Lakemoor, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, failing to signal when required and operating an uninsured vehicle following traffic stop on September 18, police said. Mallow was released on a $2,000.00 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of October 12.

DUI arrest

Ascencion P. Garcia, 53, 361 Oakwood Road, Lake Zurich, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 and improper lane usage on September 18, police said. He was stopped at Route12 and Bailey Lane. Garcia was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of October 21.

DUI arrest

Kathryn M. Starzyk, 27, 15 Pershing Avenue, Lake in the Hills, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating a vehicle with only one tail lamp, operating a vehicle with no rear registration plate light and improper lane usage, police said. Starzyk was stopped on Route 22 at Rainbow Road on September 19. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of October 21.

Retail theft

Sean C. Larson, 24, 619 North Carriage Hill Road, Island Lake, was arrested for retail theft at 680 South Rand Road on September 17, according to reports. Larson was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of November 1.
