Lake Zurich Police: DUI Arrests, Criminal Damage
Police reports for the week Aug. 29 to Sept. 2.

 Note: The following information was obtained from the Lake Zurich Police Department. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.
DUI arrests
- Isaac E. Faulk, 19, of 2612 Williamsburg Drive, Algonquin and Nikolas B. Clinge, 18, of 314 Harvest Gate, Lake in the Hills, were arrested for retail theft on Sept. 2, police said. The two reportedly took items from a store at 820 South Rand Road, reports stated. Faulk and Clinge were each released on $1,500.00 personal recognizance bonds with a Waukegan court date of Sept. 23.
- Mahmmud O. Abubaker, 37, of 4046 North Elston Avenue, Chicago, was stopped on a traffic violation and was later charged with driving under the influence, police said. Abubaker was charged with DUI, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol contents greater than .08, illegal transportation of open alcohol and improper lane usage, reports stated. Abubaker was stopped at Route 12 and Cuba Road. He was released on a $3,000.00 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Oct. 7.
- Steven P. Fierro, 20, of 1315 Spinnaker Lane, Hanover Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, operating a vehicle with expired registration, unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor on Sept. 3, police said. He was stopped at Route 12 and Honey Lake Road. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Sept. 23.

Someone struck a fence in the 1100 block of Route 22 on Sept 1, causing $500 in damage, reports stated. The matter is under investigation.

A resident reported someone removed a mailbox from a home in the 200 block of Clairview Court then threw it into another yard on Sept. 1, police said.
Six criminal damage reports
Six incidents of criminal defacement were reported on Aug. 29 where someone spray painted five cars, two trailers and several homes in the following neighborhoods: the 100 block of East Main Street, the 100 block of Church Street, the 200 block of Mohawk Trail and the 200 block of Lions Drive, police said.
