Lake Zurich Police: Theft, Criminal Damage, DUI Arrest

Note: The following information was obtained from Lake Zurich police reports. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

Theft
Three metal bag dispensers were stolen from the 100 block of North Buesching Road during the past month, police said. A report was filed on May 30.

Criminal Damage
A man told police someone threw a rock through the rear window of his vehicle while it was parked in the 200 block of South Buesching Road on May 30, according to police.  This matter is under investigation.  

Traffic Arrest (DUI/Revoked)
Christopher A. Walenga, 26, of  233 Sandy Point Lane, Lake Zurich and Jorge A. Bautista-Galindo, 27, of 28238 North Main Street, Wauconda were arrested during an investigation into a traffic accident in the 600 block of South Rand Road on May 30, police said. Walenga was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of cannabis, police said. Walenga was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of July 8.  Bautista-Galindo was charged with operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with a revoked driver’s license.  Bautista-Galindo was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of July 12.
