Lake Zurich Police: Vehicle Theft, Theft of Copper, Credit Cards Stolen
Police release reports from the weekend of Sept. 23

Theft-motor vehicle
A man’s vehicle stalled on Braemer Lane at Braemar Court on September 26 so he notified a tow service and left the area, only to learn the vehicle was no longer there when the tow truck came, police said. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. Police are conducting an investigation.

Theft
Angel Lopez, 18, of 35851 North Wilson Road, Ingleside, was arrested for stealing approximately $3,000 worth of copper wire from Industrial Wire and Cable, 66 North Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, police said. Lopez was arrested on September 25 and remained in custody on Friday pending a bond hearing.

Burglary
Someone entered a man’s unlocked vehicle parked in the 1200 Block of Stratford Court and removed credit cards from his wallet, according to reports. The theft was reported on September 23.Â
