Lake Zurich Police: Warrant Arrest, Car Burglary, and Obstruction

Police release reports from the week of Sept. 3

Note: The following information was obtained from the Lake Zurich Police Department. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

Police arrested Ashley L. Valentino, 26, of 330 Springhill Drive #205, Roselle, during a traffic stop on Sept. 5, police said. Officers discovered Valentino was driving with a suspended license and had a suspended registration and cited her, reports stated. Valentino was also arrested on a warrant for failure-to-appear issued by Menard County.  Valentino was released after posting $300.00 cash.  Valentino has a court date of Oct. 3 in Petersburg on the warrant. Valentino was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Oct. 4.

John A. Olita, 25, of 1140 Amherst Court, Lake Zurich, was arrested after officers responded to the 1100 block of Thorndale Lane to investigate a disturbance on Sept. 4, police said.  Olita was arrested and charged with obstructing a peace officer.  Olita was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Oct. 8.

Someone took a purse from an unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of White Birch Lane on Sept. 3, police said. The loss is estimated at $630, police said.
