The slate, the United Lake Zurich Party, included current Village President Suzanne Branding, current Village Clerk Kathleen Johnson and four-year trustee candidates Helmut Gerlach, Todd Minden and Ildiko Schultz. Debra Vander Weit is running with the slate for the two-year term.
Current Trustee Tom Poynton challenged Branding for Village President as an independent. He supported incumbent Jeff Halen, newcomers Geoffrey Petzel and Daniel Stanovich, running for four-year terms; and Mark Loewes, running for the two-year term. Poynton also supported Jim Beaudoin, who is running as an independent for a four-year term.
