Lake Zurich’s Take a Stand Joins Vigil for Overdose Awareness Day

Overdose Awareness Day is Saturday, Aug. 31.

Take a Stand and The Other Side, which operates a substance free club in Crystal Lake, are joining together for a candlelight vigil for Overdose Awareness Day.

The Lake Zurich based Take a Stand formed over a year ago as a reaction to the growing number of drug deaths, a majority due to heroin overdoses.

Its members will join the Other Side at a vigil from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 at Barbara Key Park, Lake in the Hills.
