Lake Zurich's Trick-or-Trick Hours

Lake Zurich's trick-or-treat hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. on Halloween, Thursday, October 31

Police ask motorists to be extra cautious while driving through the community during this evening and offer these tips:

• Wear bright or reflective clothing that is clearly visible to motorists
• When purchasing costumes, masks, beards, and wigs, look for the "Flame Resistant" label
• Trick-or-treat in groups
• Always carry a flashlight and keep it on
• Stay on sidewalk and well-lit areas
• If wearing a mask, make sure it fits securely, provides adequate ventilation, and has eyeholes large enough to allow full vision
• Visit only homes with porch lights on
