Local Students Paint 25th Anniversary Mural Inspired By Artist
588 tiles make up mural painted by Isaac Fox Elementary students to commemorate school's 25th Anniversary, inspired by artist Adam Swanson.
LAKE ZURICH, IL — Students at Isaac Fox Elementary will soon unveil a special hand-painted mural they created to commemorate the school's 25th anniversary. A total of 588 students participated in the mural's creation as each hand-painted a 4x4 ceramic tile to reflect part of local artist Adam Swanson’s painting, Don’t Give Up. The District 95 kindergarten through fifth grade students will unveil the commemorative mural to the school during a Wednesday, Sept. 19 assembly at Isaac Fox Elementary (395 W. Cuba Road).
Swanson has been invited to meet with each grade and join in on the unveiling of the commemorative mural.
The assembly runs from 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and kicks off with a 25-year video by Laura Barttmans, followed by a video montage of the entire mural process, the unveiling and more.
