LZ Middle School Students Accepted in Prestigious Band, Orchestra

Twenty-two students will perform with the Illinois Music Educators Association’s (ILMEA) District 7 honors band and orchestra next month.

Over 700 students auditioned for the ILMEA junior band and orchestra from middle schools in Lake, Cook, and McHenry Counties. Of those 700, 420 auditioned for the 116 member band, and 328 auditioned for the 140 member orchestra.

Students were selected based on their preparation of the audition music, and will be performing in the ILMEA Junior Honors Festival at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Wauconda High School.

The following students will be representing Lake Zurich Middle Schools:

6th grade
