The magical holiday season is alive and well in historic downtown Long Grove, with all of the annual classic holiday festivities back in full swing. Every Saturday and Sunday now through December 23, 2018, visitors can experience and enjoy complimentary horse-drawn carriage and tractor rides, strolling costumed carolers, a Christmas Tree Parade, appearances by Santa, and much more. I invite you to visit the quaint and historic area that is downtown Long Grove, while strolling through our streets, shopping, and taking in the seasonal cheer, all amongst a picturesque holiday backdrop.

For those who have been in our downtown over the last several months, you know that navigating the area has been a challenge. The construction work that has been ongoing will soon be wrapping up, just in time for the holiday season. In partnership with Lake County, Old McHenry Road at Robert Parker Coffin is being reconstructed. This key infrastructure improvement initiated by the Village, along with others planned for next year, will greatly improve the one-of-a-kind experience that Long Grove provides for its visitors, for years to come.

Many of the family-owned and operated, independent businesses our Village is known for will be featuring discounts on merchandise, in addition to complimentary drinks and snacks rewarding and thanking customers for shopping small this season.
