Mother Nature's Child Film Screening at Da Vinci Waldorf School

Free film screening that explore's nature's powerful role in children's health.

"Mother Nature's Child: Growing Outdoors in a Media Age" will be shown at Da Vinci Waldorf School, Saturday, Feb. 16, 10 a.m. to noon. Da Vinci Waldorf School is located at 150 W. Bonner Rd., Wauconda. 

 This film explores nature's powerful role in children's health and development through the experience of toddlers, children in middle childhood and adolescents. It asks the questions: Why do children need unstructured time outside? What is the place of risk-taking in healthy child development? How is play a form of learning? What does it mean to educate the 'whole' child? 

Topic facilitators from Da Vinci Waldorf:  Susan Love and Donna Brooks.

Concession stand refreshments will be provided by Mrs. Julian's Grade 4/5 class. Enjoy the movie and some treats (coffee, tea, sparking water, popcorn, cookies, cheese and fruit plates). There will be "to go" bags for sale too! Proceeds will go towards their class trip in May.
