Norge Int'l Ski Jumping Tournament Jan. 24 and 25th

International Teams take on US Jumpers at Norge Ski Club

On January 24 and 25 the city of Fox River Grove will opens its doors to athletes from around the globe as the Norge Ski Club hosts its 110th annual International ski jumping competition.

Teams from as far away as Slovenia, Finland and Poland will take part in the two day spectacular event as world class ski jumpers take to the air in an attempt to claim top honors. Many of America’s top gun athletes will be on hand as well hoping to claim victory . Canada will be sending down one of its best jumping teams in years in hopes of claiming top spot on the medals podium for itself.

U.S. Team will be headed by Fox River Groves own A.J. Brown who will be flanked by fellow US Team members Casey Larson, Trevor Edlund of St. Paul, Minn., Miles Lussi of Lake Placid, New York and Brian Wallace, also of St. Paul, Minn. Competitors from Lake Placid, New York and Steamboat Springs, Co. are also registered in the grueling competition.

The junior jumpers will compete on Saturday on the smaller hills and the large hill and all the “top guns” will be competing on Sunday. Both meets begin at noon. There are concession stands as well as beer stands and other adult beverages. Admission is $10 if buttons are purchased in advance at local area merchants or $15 at the gate.
