Poynton: New Lake Zurich Board Represents Many Neighborhoods
The swearing-in ceremony for new Village President Tom Poynton and newly elected trustees was held Monday.

A new village board was sworn-in, at Monday night's Lake Zurich village board meeting.Â
Village President Tom Poynton, who won the seat from Suzanne Branding in April, introduced the new board members, Jim Beaudoin, Dan Stanovich, and Mark Loewes, as well as returning trustee Jeff Halen and village clerk Kathleen Johnson. Dana Rzeznik is also on the board; she was not up for re-election.

"We have seven or eight people living in seven or eight different neighborhoods. That is the most representation we've had. It's a testament to those who want to make Lake Zurich better. I hope we can take the spirit of election night with the with the energy we had there and the spirit of these new people and get Lake Zurich "Poynton" in the right direction," Poynton said .
