Red Ribbon Week Begins at LZHS

Lake Zurich High School is participating in Red Ribbon Week, the nation’s oldest drug prevention campaign. The week also honors the life of DEA Special agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena who died at the hands of drug traffickers while on the job.

LZHS has a week of activities and themes. Today is “A Healthy Me is Drug Free.” Students will sign a pledge to be drug free and decorate with red ribbons. The week’s themes include “Give Drugs the Slip,” where students can wear slippers to school.
