Seat Belt Violators Ticketed During Lake Zurich Enforcement

Drivers in Lake Zurich were also charged with DUI, drugs and distracted driving during a 10-day period in November.

LAKE ZURICH, IL - More than 25 people were ticketed for not wearing seat belts during a traffic enforcement campaign in Lake Zurich in November. Police also made arrests and ticketed drivers for other violations as well.

The enforcement campaign took place from Nov. 17 through Nov. 27 and was in conjunction with the nationwide Click It or Ticket mobilization. The campaign, which targets seat belt violators, is aimed "to reduce highway fatalities by issuing citations to unbuckled motorists and arresting impaired drivers," according to police.
