Vision for Vacancy: Kmart

The former Lake Zurich Kmart site has been vacant for about a decade.

The vacant building is a perennial concern for residents. See: What Would You Improve in Lake Zurich in 2013? 

At a Lake Zurich Chamber of Commerce economic development update in 2012, Village President Suzanne Branding said the property remains vacant because the owner wants to lease the property, but is unwilling to sell it. She said there have been offers to purchase the building.
