Woodman’s Commits to Building New Grocery Store in Lakemoor
The grocery store development has been in the works for three years.

The area could soon get its first Woodman’s Food Market.
Last week, village officials in Lakemoor said the Woodman’s board of directors approved the purchase and development of land located at the southwest corner of route 12 and 120 to build a 240,000-square-foot grocery store and a gas station with a convenience store, car wash and quick lube center, the Daily Herald reports.
The deal has been in the works for three years and is meant to provide a big boost for the small community’s economy, according to the newspaper.

There are currently only two Woodman’s grocery stores in the Chicago area with one in Carpentersville and another in North Aurora.
Buffalo Grove is also in talks with Woodman’s to bring a grocery store to town. This past summer, the village approved an incentives agreement with Woodman’s. The grocery store is looking to build on the northwest corner of Milwaukee Avenue and Deerfield Parkway in Buffalo Grove, the Daily Herald reports.
