LEMONT, IL — The Lemont home of meteorologist Jerry Taft, who died in 2020, has sold after four years on the market. The home, in the gated community of Ruffled Feathers in Lemont, was first listed in 2017 for $1.495 million.

The home sold May 11 for $905,000. The price was dropped several times, down to $1.05 million in March, according to the real estate listing.

Taft died at the age of 77 in July 2020. He was well-known as a long-time meteorologist for ABC Chicago. Taft joined ABC 7 in 1984 after working at NBC 5 for seven years and serving in the U.S. Air Force for 15 years. He retired in 2018.
