11,700 Licensed IL Nail Techs MUST Renew License by 10.31.18!

Lincoln Park resident Paul Dykstra, CEO of Cosmetologists Chicago (NFP) – the largest association of salon professionals in the Midwest – wants the 3,000+ local licensed nail techs to know, “The State of Illinois requires all nail techs to renew their license by completing 10 hours of continuing education… the 2018 deadline is October 31!”

With this in mind, INTA, a division of Cosmetologists Chicago, is presenting two days of continuing education delivered by two of the top experts in the industry. The classes will cover everything new in nails: from Polish for Perfection with the latest trends including nail art, to the use of social media in marketing, to the greening of the salon, to giving back to the community and more!

Dykstra continues, “Cosmetologists Chicago is an approved sponsor of continuing education by the State of Illinois. A licensed nail technician, Ashley found her passion for creating beautiful nails in 2007. Her focus is to achieve striking images by creating amazing nails. Ashley's work has been featured in international publications and local media. She has worked backstage as a lead manicurist at New York Fashion Week, with celebrity clientele, and on various film and television projects. Creator and director of The Nailscape blog, Ashley also serves as chair of the Nail Elevation committee for the International Nail Technicians Association.

  As the owner of Precision Nails, an exclusive nails-only salon in Carmel, California, Jaime Schrabeck, Ph.D. has been recognized for her strong technical skills, innovative services and practical approach to business. Jaime serves as Competition Director for Global Beauty Masters, collaborates with Tina Alberino for Nail Tech Reality Check, writes savvy articles, consults with manufacturers, trains salon owners and technicians and advises California’s Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
