Palmer House Hilton Celebrates the Holidays with its 144th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting

Illinois Supreme Court Justice and Creator of the Special Olympics, Anne M. Burke with athletes and medal-winners from the Special Olympics Chicago gather in the Palmer House’s famous lobby to light the holiday tree’s 7000 lights among its 15,000 boughs. Open to the public, this launch of the holiday season also includes award-winning, third-generation magician and star of The House Theater’s The Magic Parlour Dennis Watkins, performers from The House Theater’s The Nutcracker, choirs and treats and activities for children of all ages.
