3 Charged In Robbery of DePaul Student On West Side
A student said he was kidnapped in Lincoln Park and taken to the West Side in a robbery, but police said he lied about the kidnapping.

CHICAGO — Three people have been charged in the armed robbery of a DePaul University student last week, police said. Police said the student lied about being kidnapped from Lincoln Park, however he was robbed on the West Side, according to police.
The student went to a vacant apartment in the 4200 block of West Wilcox to meet Tarika Gilmore, 18, police said. The student was then robbed at gunpoint by Gilmore and two other men.
The student originally told police that he was kidnapped in the alley behind the McDonald's at Fullerston and Halsted, and taken to the apartment on Wilcox; however police said he made up the kidnapping.
