$50M Lincoln Park Mansion, IL's Most Expensive, Is Off The Market
The high-priced home had been up for sale for nearly 2 years.

CHICAGO — A $50 million mansion in Lincoln Park is no longer for sale after nearly two years. The six-bedroom home — Illinois' most expensive piece of real estate — was listed in December 2016, but it was taken off the market earlier this month, according to Realtor.com.
It's not known why the home is no longer listed. And it's still not clear what the future for the property holds.
Built in 2010, the 25,000-square-foot mansion is situated on eight city lots. The current owners — United Autombile Insurance Co. CEO Richard Parrillo and his wife, Michaela — spent $65 million on the home, including paying $12.5 million for the lots in 2005, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The mansion's high price tag brought a certain amount of scrutiny with it. While the home is listed as measuring 25,000 square feet, the Cook County assessor charts it at only 15,533 square feet, the Tribune reports. The assessor also priced the mansion at $19.36 million in 2018, well below its $50 million asking price.
