7 In Custody After Lake Shore Drive Crash
A 15-year-old driver crashed a stolen car in Lincoln Park, police said.
CHICAGO — Seven people are in custody after a crash on Lake Shore Drive Thursday morning, police said. The driver of the crashed vehicle was 15 years old, according to police.
Officers saw a gray Acura sedan driving without headlights at about 12:44 a.m. near Lake Shore Drive and Fullerton, police said. The officers tried to pull the car over, but it took off and crashed into a guard rail in the 1600 block of North Lake Shore Drive.
Seven people were in the car and were taken into custody, police said. The driver and two passengers were taken to area hospitals in good condition.
