Aligned Bringing Fitness Classes, Unique Health Clinic to Diversey

A completely new storefront has cropped up on the Lincoln Park and Lake View border, with Chicago’s Aligned Modern Health planning to open its third location on the North Side.

The heath and fitness clinic will open in around six weeks at 560 W. Diversey Pkwy, a newly constructed site in front of Lincoln Park Plaza and once eyed by Smashburger.

It joins locations at 3514 N. Southport Ave. in Lake View and 4555 N. Lincoln Ave. in Lincoln Square. 

Aligned offers chiropractic services, massage therapy, nutrition counseling and physical rehabilitation. That’s in addition to the multiple group fitness classes held at the center, including yoga, pilates and core workouts. 

But according to Aligned representative Bill Fiely, the new location on Diversey will have something the other storefronts don’t. 

“We’re adding a couple new services,” Fiely said. “We’re adding acupuncture and functional nutrition. That’s where we kind of get to the root cause of nutritional issues. Sometimes it’s not just about losing weight, but when people who are tired or stressed or have digestive issues. We can do a full blood test, blood panels, saliva tests—everything is done by a doctor.”

Fiely says that’s a new service not readily available on the North Side, so his team is excited to bring it to the roughly 2,000-square-foot space.

What’s more is Aligned plans to offer at least one free fitness class a week, something the other two locations already do. And customers seem to love it. The Southport storefront has five stars on Yelp, as does the location in Lincoln Square.
