Alinea Owner Offers Clemson Tigers 'Real' Meal After Trump Dinner

After the White House served the players fast food, Alinea owner Nick Kokonas invited the team to "an actual celebration dinner."

CHICAGO — Alinea co-owner Nick Kokonas has invited the Clemson Tigers to come and dine in Chicago. Kokonas posted his offer on Twitter after President Donald Trump served the college football team a fast food celebration dinner on Monday.

The White House dinner included boxed pizza, fast food burgers in paper packaging, salad in plastic tubs, fries in paper cups and sauce packets, all served on silver trays under candelabras.

"...I'm personally inviting the Clemson Tigers team and coaches to Chicago to experience what an actual celebration dinner should be," Kokonas posted on Twitter Tuesday. "I'm not joking."
