Brunch, Shop And Give To Be Held In Lincoln Park
Armitage Avenue has been thriving as a shopping district, and it's time to spread the love to Halsted, Ald. Michele Smith said.

CHICAGO — Community leaders are teaming up to promote the Armitage Halsted Shopping District this month with the Brunch, Shop and Give event. The event will be held on Sunday, Oct. 14 and Sunday, Oct. 21.
"This month a new effort is beginning to celebrate the resurgence of Armitage and, at the same time, extend the vibrancy to Halsted," Ald. Michele Smith (43rd) said in a letter to residents. "After much effort, most of the storefronts on Armitage Avenue are now full and thriving. Halsted, however, still has too many empty locations."
The Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce, the Mobile Merchants Group and the University of Chicago's Clinic on Entrepreneurship are parking mobile boutiques on Halsted and promoting the new stores on Armitage. People are encouraged to grab brunch in the Armitage Halsted Shopping District and present their receipts to receive 10 percent off aboard the mobile boutiques.
