Burglaries Reported In Lincoln Park, Old Town

At least eight burglaries have been reported so far in April, police warned.

CHICAGO — A string of burglaries has hit the Lincoln Park and Old Town neighborhoods, police said in a community alert. At least eight burglaries were reported between April 1 and April 18.

Burglars broke into homes through open doors and windows, police said. The offenders stole computer equipment, jewelry, stereo equipment, credit cards, power tools and cash, according to the community alert.

  • in the 1100 block of West Armitage Ave. on Monday, Apr. 1, during the afternoon hours;
  • in the 1700 block of North North Park Ave. on Tuesday, Apr. 2, during the evening hours;
  • in the 2100 block of North Seminary Ave. on Tuesday, Apr. 2, during the evening hours;
  • in the 2200 block of North Bissell St. on Monday, Apr. 8, during the daytime hours;
  • in the 1900 block of North Kenmore Ave. on Monday, Apr. 15, during the evening hours;
  • in the 2200 block of North Racine Ave. on Tuesday, Apr. 16, during the evening hours;
  • in 2200 block of North Clifton Ave., Wednesday, Apr. 17, during the afternoon hours;
  • in the 1700 block of North Clybourn Ave. on Thursday, Apr. 18, during the evening hours.
