Check Out Chicago's Most Expensive House Listing

Just south of Lincoln Park High School sits the city of Chicago's highest-priced single-family house. Listed at $18.5 million, this 14,000-square-foot house on five Burling Street lots features an indoor pool, home theater, guest house and a multi-car garage.

Designed in the Palladian style by architect Wayne Zediker in the late 1990s, the home was originally built by Robert Bernard, a tech entrepreneur. The current occupants are Tim and Alicia Mullen, who bought the place in 2002. Tim Mullen is an independent investor.

ChicagoRealEstate.com reported that the house is listed by Janet Owen of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Koenig Rubloff Realty Group but the property hasn't been published to the MLS yet. It will go public next month if a buyer doesn't snatch it up within the next few weeks.

The listing price is $3.5 million more than the most expensive single-family house ever sold in Chicago.
