Chicago Police To Host Block Club Training In Goose Island

The training will help North Side residents learn how they can help improve safety in their neighborhoods, police said.

CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department's 18th District, which includes parts of the Near North and Lincoln Park neighborhoods, is hosting a free block club training session in early February. The training will focus on how residents can work together to improve safety in their neighborhoods.

Attendees will learn about how they can establish or re-establish block clubs, which can greatly reduce crime, police said.

The block club training will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the 18th District station, 1160 N Larrabee.
