Feigenholtz Launches Back to School Drive After CPS Budget Cuts
The Lake View and Lincoln Park representative is collecting things like notebooks and pencils to help struggling parents.

In light of school budget cuts, State Rep. Sara Feigenholtz (D-Chicago) has launched a “School Supply Drive” to collect fundamental classroom items for students at local schools.
“Cuts to the classroom have forced parents and teachers to reach deeper into their pockets to pay for basic supplies,” said Feigenholtz. “I’m calling on the community to help ease the burden on struggling parents and give students the materials they need to excel in the upcoming school year.”
Local elementary schools are asking residents to help with donated items such as: pens, pencils, sharpies, spiral and composition notebooks, glue sticks, 3-ring binders, lined paper, and dry erase markers.
